Playrangers for 5-13 year olds in North BEDS

play.jpgPlay Rangers is a BIG Lottery funded project, and North Bedfordshire have 2 new play rangers Suzie and Sarah, who will be delivering free, open access play sessions in local parks and open spaces.

A new timetable has just been launched that will give hundred of young people chance to play, explore and get mucky after school.

See if there is one near you………

The project is aimed at young people between 5 and 13 years old (PLEASE NOTE: Children under the age of 8 MUST be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.)

What we do

We work in local schools and parks to encourage and facilitate free open access play for children and young people.  We run free activity sessions throughout the year in all weather conditions to encourage children to explore their natural environment and take risks in a safe situation.  The aim is to improve self-esteem, confidence and team work whilst having fun at the same time.

Open access

Open access means that children are free to come and go as they please.  Children of all ages are welcome, however under 8’s must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.  We encourage children to wrap up warm in the winter months, bring a drink and be prepared to get messy!

Example of our activities

Den building, sports sessions, bug hunting, rocket making, giant games, circus skills, fire cooking, assault courses, arts and crafts, frisbee throwing, kite flying, parties.
