Now that the nights are drawing in and the summer’s heat is cooling, it’s time to think about planting trees. Our pre-Christmas public tree planting day will happen during National Tree Week and as usual will follow our tried and tested format:
- Park at the Forest Centre (anytime between 10.30am and 2.30pm)
Catch a free bus to the planting site
Plant as many trees as you like, for as long as you wish, between 11am and 3pm
Enjoy free tea, coffee and biscuits or a mug of soup
Return by bus to the Centre by 3.30pm
- Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or ability - it’s not just for the young and fit! If you might need help to access the site, please let us know. Groups are very welcome, but please let us know if you plan to bring 15 or more people.

BCEX presents Andy & Mike’s … Big Box of Bananas!CBeebies Presenter Andy Day brings his much loved humour to this high energy, fast-paced children’s comedy.
In a production aimed at 4-11 year olds (and their entire families!!), Andy and long-term comedy partner Michael James create the hilarious, slap-stick and chaotic …ANDY & MIKE’S… Big Box of Bananas!
In this talented duo’s ‘fun pad’ appears a magical and mysterious box. Unable to open the box, the boys make it their mission to find out what’s inside, and go on the adventure of their life, taking worldly guidance from the suave, sophisticated and altogether modest narrator.
A colourful journey ensues… taking the ‘house-sitters’ every step of the way! The audience, who become house-sitters in Andy & Mike’s very own fun ‘pad’, meet confused pirates…musical sea life…silent movie types… And ‘extravagant’ all-singing all-dancing air stewards…!
With imaginative writing and perfect comedy timing, Big Box of Bananas! Originality and excitement come across in abundance!
Andy’s popularity amongst pre-school Britain, coupled with his and Mike’s ability to wow the audience, sets the scene for a fun-packed performance time after time!
ANDY & MIKE’S… Big Box of Bananas!
Oh.. if you see Poppy the Pet Porpoise… Will you tell us..? Well… WILL YOU??
