MILTON KEYNES BIRTH INFORMATION GROUP (MK BIG)
New birth information support group in Milton Keynes. Regular meetings with local midwives and mothers. Opportunity to discuss all aspects of birth preparation
Milton Keynes has one of the highest birth rates in the country. Milton Keynes Birth Information Group aims to help couples by providing information and support for pregnancy and new parenting.
MK BIG has existed in Milton Keynes for twenty years, but has been inactive for the past fifteen. Local Independent Midwife, Valerie Gommon (www.3shiresmidwife.co.uk) has decided to revive the group as a forum for information and support surrounding birth and early parenting issues, for example birth at home, birth in water, birth after previous caesarean section, active birth, hospital birth, breastfeeding and early parenting.
Initially there will be regular lunchtime meetings; the first meetings being held on Friday 5th June and Friday 4th September from 12 - 2 pm.
More details can be found on the website www.mkbig.org.uk or email info@mkbig.org.uk, alternatively Valerie can be contacted on 01908 511247

*Quite simply, this is brilliant* - Nottingham Evening Post
Enter a world where man and woman do not walk with legs but swim with tails…where Mermaids live side by side with the sea creatures…where music is the language in the most mysterious depths of the ocean. The Little Mermaid longs to be part of the human world so that she can marry the human prince. In sheer desperation, she decides to sell her voice to the Sea Witch in exchange for legs, but she could never imagine the price she would pay.
This beautiful fusion of original music, song, physical theatre, movement and colour is directed by Ava Hunt (Settling The Score, Tangere Arts; Bretevski Street, Nottingham Playhouse/Salisbury Playhouse) and designed by Tim Heywood (Derby Playhouse, Exeter Northcott).
Age range: 4 + | Date: Sunday 14th June 2009
Ticket: £6.00 adults £4.00 children

Pack a picnic and take a football and bucket & spade and you will find hours of fun for all age groups. If younger children need encouraging on a walk get them to fill a bucket or bag with interesting things they find or let them take some binoculars or a magnifying glass for bug spotting. You can play hide & seek, and allow different members of the family be the leader, or pretend you are in a jungle and see how many lions and other animals you can spot lurking!

We are thrilled to have found this company…. finally quality doesn’t have to mean costly!
Daisy May Clothing was started by two mums with affordability in mind. With the credit crunch looming and the cost of living rising young families in tow, the two mums decided that there was no where really affordable to buy children’s clothes.
With those thoughts in mind, the mums set off searching for wholesalers that could provide them with good quality children’s clothing at affordable prices. Once the wholesalers had been located, the quality of the clothing inspected and sold on an ad hoc basis to friends and family Daisy May Clothing was then born.
And you will be soooo pleased!!! For more information please visit Daisy May Clothing
