Summer Holiday Fun At The Library
The Summer Reading Challenge runs throughout the summer holidays in every library. Children are encouraged and rewarded for reading as many books as possible. Research shows that this improves children’s confidence and sends them back to school fired up and ready to learn. The Challenge is now the UK’s biggest promotion of children’s reading and attracts major partners like the BBC.
Last year, Team Read, attracted 10,698 children from Bedfordshire and Luton, they read 96,310 books and raised £6000 for charity! This year the theme is Fantasy, and to support this your local library is holding some FREE special events. We’ve collated all the local library events so you don’t have to go searching ……
