150 brave souls helped us plant over 1,000 trees on 30th November. Our next event will again be at Rectory Wood, Cranfield.
Planting a tree really is an excellent way to feel you are doing something worthwhile. It’s not hard work but it is great fun and a good way to get a bit of exercise.
Tools, tea (and soup), training and of course trees are all provided. There’s even a loo. Please come and bring loads of enthusiasm and some warm clothes. The weather may be fantastic!
We will once again be laying on free buses, running every 15 minutes or so from the Forest Centre and from car park 1A at Cranfield University, between 10.45am and 3.15pm. Please don’t park in Rectory Lane - it’s just too narrow.

This festival has been a feature of country life since 1921. The festival, lasting 8 days, and taking place in the Corn Exhange Complex in Bedford, provides about 3,000 peple (amateurs only) with an annual opportunity to celebrate a wide range of artistic activities. The Festival is open to all and participants come from Bedfordshire and beyond.
It offers a unique opportunity for those engaged in the performing arts to practise and develop their performance skills in venues of professional quality and to receive both written and oral adjudication from highly acclaimed professionals in each of the relevant disciplines.
The Festival is an important source of encouragement to young people to engage actively in the arts, but is open to all ages beyond school years as well.
