Christmas arrives at Bletchley Park with a festive flurry on Saturday 13 December when there will be a wondrous assortment of Christmas merriment, traditional treats and seasonal family fun.

A spectacular lantern parade by local youngsters around the beautiful gardens, the CK Gospel Choir will be performing some Christmas Carol favourites whilst the Woburn Sands Band will be filling the air with cheery Christmas tunes and making a star appearance will be Santa Claus himself.

Children can enjoy the traditional fairground rides whilst the grown-ups can browse the craft stalls in the ‘From Bletchley, With Love’ exhibition hut.

Entrance £2 adults, children under 12 £1, under 5 years free.

This festival has been a feature of country life since 1921.  The festival, lasting 8 days, and taking place in the Corn Exhange Complex in Bedford, provides about 3,000 peple (amateurs only) with an annual opportunity to celebrate a wide range of artistic activities.  The Festival is open to all and participants come from Bedfordshire and beyond.

It offers a unique opportunity for those engaged in the performing arts to practise and develop their performance skills in venues of professional quality and to receive both written and oral adjudication from highly acclaimed professionals in each of the relevant disciplines.

The Festival is an important source of encouragement to young people to engage actively in the arts, but is open to all ages beyond school years as well.

Once upon a time there was a very selfish and arrogant prince who lived in a huge castle in a forest. As a result of the prince’s selfish ways a curse is placed on him and his household. The only way the curse can be broken is if the prince, who at this point has become a monstrous beast, can fall in love with someone.
So is there a happy ending? All will be revealed in this fast moving show where different musical styles, creative costumes and special effects combine to produce a musical extravaganza that will delight the whole family.
